List | Favourite Youtube Videos
28 December 2015 • list
I have been seriously wasting my time on Youtube lately. My last post was even about a Youtube sensation, so yes, I definitely can say I'm addicted at the moment.
As I said in that post, I've been enjoying Vlogmas a lot. It's basically like you're blogging your day but you do it on video. I seem to have just discovered something amazing but really, it has been going on for A-GES. I'm late again to the party.
So I thought I would share some of my favourite videos with you today. I'm not so much into hauls or beauty videos except if I follow a blogger and watch her/his Youtube channel. I try to avoid everything that's trying to sell me something but really IT'S HARD to do.
I won't talk about Tanya Burr today because I'm addicted to her Vlogmas right now and I already told you about her in my last post. I've just mentioned my last post THREE times in four paragraphs, I'm crazy (about her).

Well, let's go! (In no particular order...)
1. Vaness la Bomba // Glory Haul
Vanessa is the best!!! She makes me laugh a lot! Sorry this is in French but she's too funny! She is a Parisian fashion blogger and she also sings...
Vaness is incarnated by Sophie-Marie Larrouy who does stand up comedy and she's fabulous. I'm sure you got the fact that she's having a bit of joke at fashion and beauty bloggers who does *insert brand name here* hauls...

2. Allana Davidson // All Occasion Makeup Look Using Urban Decay Naked Palette
I got a Naked palette last Christmas and after toying with it for a while I had a look through Youtube and found this cute tutorial that I go back to and look at again and again because I'm useless at remembering what shade to put on first...
I do not know this girl or if she has a blog or anything. I just watched a few and I liked this one. I tend to do the same thing over and over, it helps me keep my sanity.

3. Kid President // A Pep Talk from Kid President to You
I haven't seen all the Kid President videos yet but this one is so funny and cute and beautiful... It's quite inspirational and Kid President and his brother made this pure gold video so you could watch it every morning if you need some encouragement to keep you up and running!
I loved that Kid President met the real Obama, that video was so sweet!

I love Space Jam too!!!
4. Young House Love // Hush
Years and years ago, there was this super power couple on the DIY blogosphere who called themselves Young House Love. They posted DAILY (that's why I was addicted) about their diy adventures, paint spraying shit everywhere, their cute daughter (they built such a cute play kitchen for her one Christmas, it was good, really good)...
Every April's 1st they had this tradition of doing little April fools' posts that were soon transformed into videos. Sherry is a fan of Eminem and even met her idol on MTV when she was a teen. You know those shows where you could meet your idols? Yup!
I still laugh and laugh about this one. I thought this was genius back in the day I was a YHL fanatic!

5. J.K. Rowling // Harvard Commencement Speech 2008
I am reading the Harry Potter series for the second time in my life this December and my eyes just seem to look for J.K. Rowling everywhere at the moment. I wept and wept at this video of which I'm just showing a highlight.
6. Be Bricks // Lego City Update #1
I quite like those videos from an anonymous from Brussels who tells us all about how he is building his Lego city. If you loved playing with Legos as a kid, if you thought the movie was cute and all that, watch this! There are even French subtitles available.
Tell me if you enjoyed my selection and if you have any recommendation to make, I would be please to hear them!
See you soon lovelies!

I love Peter Pan, it's my favourite Disney movie along with The Hundred and One Dalmatians
sooooo, when I saw this gif, I HAD TO post it!
As you're reading this, I'm slaving myself at work (huh huh... slightly exaggerating over here...) and I'll soon be leaving by train to be with my family later this afternoon. We will eat good (awesome!) food all dressed up like it's the night of the year (IT IS!). Then at midnight, we'll exchange our gifts and then, eat the bûche!!! Yum yum..
I'll be doing my hair a bit like Wendy. Sort of. My curler is gonna be on fire tonight oop oop!

See you soon lovely readers, I wish you all the best for the holidays!

British Crush | Tanya Burr's house
17 December 2015 • crush
I LOVE the UK, the Queen, the scones, the telly, the tea, the shops, the humour, the different accents, well... you guessed it pretty much everything about the British culture. Hence the title of this series 'British Crush' where I will talk about something that I love about the country and its lifestyle.
Pssst! See the complete house tour here>>

Last month I visited the UK and bought some magazines. I am aware that Youtubers and bloggers are a thing over there and many of them already have published at least a book. I saw them sitting on the "blogging" shelves of bookstores...
But back to what I was saying. The November issue cover of Glamour UK featured Tanya Burr, a famous British beauty Youtuber who has millions of subscribers to her channel. Tanya started vlogging about make up tutorials in 2009 and recently, along with her husband Jim Chapman (also a Youtuber), they moved into their new Fulham home that I freakin' LOVE.
You already know that I am a huge home stalker so when I started looking at Tanya's videos I literally became obsessed with her home, especially her kitchen! Below are some snapshots of her baking video "Baking a Magical Christmas Cake".
I absolutely love the greeny-gray color of the units and the wooden worktops! I want that chimney-like hearth. It all reminds me of the GBBO so that might be the reason why I'm obsessed...
I have been watching her Vlogmas vlogs everyday since the beginning of December (I'm addicted to vlogs at the moment...) and all the snippets of her home make me happy. I take mental notes of everything I like and would want for my dream home. Really, I take everything I can get from the stalking I'm doing on Youtube, guys!
The other room that I like is the formal living room. I love it because of the huge fitted bookcases that are featured. I dream of doing something like this to show off all of our favourites books. The picture above is from the estate agent listing that I found via this article.
Sorry for the blurry and unflattering shot, Tanya, but this was meant to show my readers the bookcases better...
In a recent vlog, Tanya shared that she's building a home library (I'm doing that too!!) and I admit that I was a bit jealous of the package she received that day: she had several Roald Dhal's books, Go set a Watchman, Christmas on Primrose Hill and a few boardgames. I also spotted on her shelves all the Harry Potter series, Little Women, the books that Rifle Paper Co. designed, The Secret Garden, Secrets of London, and many more good novels. I noticed I own quite a few of the same books as her too.

Oh and this is Martha Moo, Jim and Tanya's dog. So so so freakin cute. I must say that dogs are the typical blogger/instagrammer/vlogger's best friend as it can draw so many viewers/readers to their content. Dogs and cats are just so CUTE. Everyone loves them, it's basic knowledge at this point...
Anyway guys, I have a real crush. As I said, I've been watching her vlogmas (vlogging every day 'till Christmas) everyday since the beginning of December and as well as building an awesome library just like her, I totally want to have a dachshund now (my dream dog would be the basset hound but I have to admit dachshunds are a bit smaller and easier to take care for in little houses) and I am having a massive house crush/obsession at the moment.
Psst! Tanya posted a glimpse of her bedroom on her blog and I'm dying of envy... I'm off to buy her book, a dog and a house! Bye!

I'm writing this sitting in front of a fake fire (more on that in a moment) while licking a
I know I'm awesomely lame.
It has been two weeks since we brought the tree home and decorated it. I shot a little video days ago that was meant to show you our place all ready for and I waited a while before I finally started to write this!
I had planned on doing a little project that would involve red and green felt but I won't have time to do it before taking everything down. I also wanted to sew some pillow covers but I still haven't started that either...
I didn't buy much this year except for some paper garlands from Hema. We just got our red and gold decorations out and placed them randomly everywhere.

Of course, I had to make a fool of myself again...
